This is literally the last opportunity for these books to change. I have signed on to an advertising program and will be spending money to attract people to BookTalk. If they arrive and see books up top they will be confused if these books suddenly change. So this is it. I've asked many times now and I am getting little to no feedback. All I know is some of you don't like the books I selected, but as far as what books you would like to replace the current books I'm only getting feedback from Nick. (Thanks Nick!)

3 of us so far have decided on the new Pinker book "Stuff of Thought". It is a best seller on Amazon for science and ranked in the 200's.

I think it was Julien who suggested it.

Well, 3 people is a good start. And Pinker is one of my personal favorites too. I will swap out the Bill Cosby book for the Pinker book as soon as possible.

Hopefully the others join in and give us an opinion...

I created this forum because we're discussing topics that should not be discussed in public forums. Visitors should not be seeing us discussing why we're slow and how we can fix it. Think about how you would feel if you stopped by a forum community and saw all the regulars discussing these things. You might conclude that you're wasting your time and move on. So I created this forum to take those private discussions out of the visitors sight. When I made the decision to do so I made a few hasty comments on the forums and she interpretted it as being directed at her. And it wasn't. It was directed at the situation which involved all of us.

One of the hardest things to do, as a forum administrator, is juggle quantity and quality. If I take as much time as I'd like to when making posts the quantity and size of those posts goes down. If I concentrate more on replying to everyone that is expecting a reply the quality goes down. Typing fast and saying the right thing in the right way is not always easy. It helps if the audience has thick skin. But I understand about not having thick skin because I regularly get my feelings hurt by things people say. This is why I started using crack today.

So is she gone? I did not see anything directed at her for what it is worth.
