Guess I got the password correct. It has been a while since I used my ezboard stuff.I'm Brandon from Morganton NC. I'm a graphic designer at my town's newspaper and I am also a weekly columnist (ever Wednesday in the opinions section).I was directed here by Naddia (did I get that name right ... I think I did) from another message board. ~waves at Naddia~I poked around to see how things were running and it looks like the heart is in the right place, so I decided to jump on in. Looks like Future Shock might be a dead end, so I'll wait till things get smoothed out over that little deal before I run out to find the book, eh?I enjoy history, especially military since I was in the Marine Corps for 12 years. I like art, writing, chess, and sleep.Well, good luck here y'all. I'll poke my nose in often to see how the ship is sailing ...

TheBeeKee:Welcome to BookTalk! We have something in common I see. I also enjoy sleeping. LOLBy chance have you read any of W.E.B. Griffon's series about WWII and life in the Marines? You will not be able to stop reading if you ever pick these books up. I've never felt so immersed in a series of books in all my life.Stick around and help us sort out the Future Shock issue. It did sound like a good book in the beginning, but it seems to have proven to be a dud. If you have any suggestions just make a post over in the "Book Suggestions" forum. BeeKay:Please scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the white button that says, "View My GuestMap." Then put a pushpin in the map where you live and enter in the answers to the 5 questions. This is a cool new feature I just added to the site.I think you already did this, but I accidently deleted everyones pushpin last night! Sorry! So you need to do it again. Thanks!Chris "When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always want to be." -- Leonardo da Vinci

Griffin also wrote a series about the Philadelphia police. I've read the police, spy, and Marine series'... I think everything he's written; and agree, he spins some of the best yarns in fiction.
