as an introduction of myself, i suppose i should admit that this is my first blog-like space i have ever been a part of, i move slowly. however, since i am a book junkie, and future librarian (as i am attending grad school for said position), i thought this would be a marvelous start....so here then, start!

the other day i was looking up a librarian site, and people were doing auditions for librarian videos, trying to make them seem "cool", and failed miserably! let me just say, there was a song being played on a disparate piano to the tune of "yankee doodle dandy" and lyrics about information, access to computers, checking out CDs young and old--terrible! i dont know if i am going to be a cool librarian or not, but i have a tatoo, so that is a good start, right?

well, i look forward to continuing my rants, and reading some good lit! am currently working on "Sister Carrie" by Drieser, and before that finished "Tree of Smoke" by Denis Johnson....i think i get through about a book a month, and like to go through the big, hard stuff...am very proud of the fact that i finished "War and Peace" this summer, it only took me a year (but i was finishing my bachelor's degree during that year!). more books, more suggestions, and lively conversation please!
