Hello Everyone,

I found myself spending a lot of time in front of the computer screen and decided to make use of the online time by learning more about books and be able to participate in discussions that would enable me to grow and expand as a person. Thank you for allowing me to join the club.
The last books I've read are the Twilight series.

Hello TyinLA,

I'm new here as well.

My girlfriend just finished Breaking Dawn.
I think it took her all of a week to read the whole series.

There must be something special about those books, because she is overseas at the moment and has seen people reading them everywhere.

Haven't read them myself, though.
Not sure if they're my thing.

I did not think they were my thing either, but I was curious.
The Twilight series were on sale at K-mart, and I began with first two, Twilight and New Moon, and of course, I ended up reading the entire series. The Eclipse was the book that I somehow paid least attention to. Breaking Dawn was okay... the motherly tone of a 18 year old brand new vampire did not seem as interesting. I mean, I could see through the author's own world view and her own experience of giving birth and being a mother. Bella's original character seemed have been lost in the process.

I really loved the twilight books, I read the whole series in a week in and a half. they do not have the oversexed lust most people want in a vampire book, but they are a good read and amazing love story.

Yes, it's an amazing love story.
Also gives us hope of existence of a higher and better life though not necessarily in the form of vampire world.

Yes, I find the whole thing very thought provoking, the Cullens are not normal Vampires, it makes you ponder whether such things are possible. And also makes me wonder about my future as Edward is always talking about his.
