So what are you currently reading? And would you recommend it to others? Why, or why not?

I'm starting a brand new thread again. The last one was getting big, and it started back in 2020. Let's get a fresh list going, of our current reads.

I'm reading, or should I say listening to, The Transatlantic Slave Trade: A Captivating Guide to the Atlantic Slave Trade and Stories of the Slaves That Were Brought to the Americas.

My friend Frank suggested it to me, and I immediately ordered it on Audible. The history of slavery in the United States, as taught to us by the school system, is just not accurate. Well, that's assuming that this book was as well-researched as I currently think it was.

Good idea to restart this thread.

The Transatlantic Slave Trade book looks very interesting. I wonder if it would be a good companion piece to Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents.

I'm reading Crime and Punishment. A little too late to join the discussion from a couple of years ago. :-)

Next up is: Six Impossible Things Before Breakfast: The Evolutionary Origins of Belief.

Exhibition by Kevin Cousins. I'm only a little less than half finished so far. I can't recommend it. It has plenty of errors and overall, it's not very well written.

I'm currently reading the Game of Thrones series and I have to say, I'm totally hooked. The books are packed with gripping plots, intriguing characters, and epic battles.

I'm going to have to give the books a shot. I've watched the series multiple times, but I really should try out the books.

If you're into fantasy and politics, you'll absolutely love them. I can't recommend them enough. If you want more information about the series, I found this great link that you might find helpful: https://bookwormera.com/game-of-thrones-books/. What about you?

Project Hail Mary, (Andy Weir). 2nd time through. Weir is brilliant. His first book, The Martian, was a sole survivor genre tome that I really liked.
