Yes, people promote their work on this site but only when they read the rules, follow the rules and contribute value to the community. You just dropped the ball on all three but you're getting a free pass here. Please read the names of the forums and the forum descriptions. All online forum communities expect that base level of respect. You're welcome to promote your book here but within the framework of the proper forums and community rules.

If you are an author you should definitely promote your book on this site. But before you do make sure it is your audience! Before posting a link to your book on this forum- ask yourself: is this my target reader? Will they want to read my book.
