I think it would be interesting

I thought it would be interesting to read, compare and contrast two books.

I've just reread The Grapes of Wrath and was struck by the similarities between this book and Cry the Beloved Country

I'm one of the new kids on the block so I hope I haven't overstepped in making this suggestion.

I'm grateful for input and suggestions concerning the fiction section, and for me all new ideas are welcome.

This is something to think about.

The key would be getting enough people to participate in such a discussion. If you have suggestions I'm all ears.

My two cents: I love comparing books. You notice when there's only one book, I bring in others I've read anyway, and I bring in books from other strings when talking about a book under discussion. I think other people have done this, too. So I would be interested in reading two books that are related and having a discussion about both of them -- always assuming they were two books we had chosen to read and I wanted to read them.
