I would really like to start either a monthly or quartly book discussion on fiction books that have a dark subject matter. Somewhere along the lines of vampires, ghosts, werewolves, magic, the whole bit. Anyone interested?

Assigned books or just presentations of books or short stories that we've read that follow the themes?

I think that it would be good to have assigned but we can do presentations. We can play it by ear. Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

. Fantasy is after all my favorite genre. There are a lot of well-known fantasy books that I'm sure people have read. I subscribe to a website called The Reader's Quill and the author basically reviews books and suggests some as well. Most of them are fantasy books too.

This sounds really interesting. I've read some real creepers lately, short stories mostly. Count me in too!
Has everyone read "The Lottery", Shirley Jackson?
I ask, because if you guys have already read it, it won't be as much fun.
