Fourth in AronRa's series is the non-sensical equivalence between belief and knowledge that creationists and other non-rational dogma's insist is the case.

Of course imagining that you know something to be a certain way and insisting that it is the case despite a whole world of evidence does not change the facts of the matter at all.

Just take a look here:
http://www.booktalk.org/the-nt-was-writ ... 4-330.html

where you will see an argument to the effect that because people have historically believed that christianity was true, then it necessarily was. Despite efforts of myself, Interbane, Frank and several others which explain in detail through analogy and then point for point refutation of this argument, it is still being used by that creationist as though it were a valid argument.

Such is also the case with his continued assertion that christianity is not a religion, despite the very obvious fact that to nearly one hundred percent of christians, it certainly is.

Why? Because in his mind belief is on an equal, and in fact far superior footing to anything factual.

Of course that is not the case at all.

Wow! I'm with Vishnu in that anything by AronRa is golden. Another great video. And yes, it does hit on some of the foolish Stahrwe was promoting in the NT was written in the 2nd century thread.
