Re: So what would you do?

Advise him to get an editor, tell him the truth gently, but also find something good to say, even if it's to praise him for the effort of having done it. It takes a lot of effort to write a book, at least it did for me.

Re: Is anyone else completely torn about who they want to be the next US President?

I think the GOP establishment miscalculated the fact that they can't control the populace. Their attitude has been "we'll nominate whomever we want in spite of your vote", and it has alienated the people. I think the voting for Trump is somewhat in defiance to control the election by the t...

Re: Is anyone else completely torn about who they want to be the next US President?

I have voted mostly Democratic, but I voted for several GOP Presidents in the past. I choose whom I think is the best qualified person for the job. All the candidates are human and all have their faults and weaknesses. Most, when elected, rise up to the job of President...some fail...C'est la vie!

Re: Is anyone else completely torn about who they want to be the next US President?

It's a lost cause to believe that any one president can bring a real and significant change in our industrial economy. It's controlled by the corporate world and big money. Hope and change has been promised by many, many previous presidential candidates and gives people hope and dreams, but it hasn'...

Re: Is anyone else completely torn about who they want to be the next US President?

I don't think Cruz is electable in a general election, this nation is too liberal for such a truly conservative candidate. Trump is not my candidate, but I'm fascinated about how he manipulates the media and his followers. He says or does something outlandish and then that's all the media talks abou...

Actually, I don't like name calling, personal attacks and foul language. We can discuss differences of opinion about policies, or the fact that there are no policies :), past records, etc., but commenting on looks, hairdos, dress, etc., is not called for.

Re: Is anyone else completely torn about who they want to be the next US President?

The Republican establishment does not want Trump because they can't control him. It's all very entertaining!

Re: Is anyone else completely torn about who they want to be the next US President?

I was listening to ordinary people on the street being asked why they are voting for any particular candidate. Most of them were pretty vague and could not voice any concrete policy or experience issues. So the conclusion is that most people base their decision on personal appearances, traits, perso...

Re: Is anyone else completely torn about who they want to be the next US President?

Not confused at all - Hillary Clinton has my vote. She worked for social issues when she was young, wife of a governor, lived in the White House and knows the ropes there, entertained all kinds of dignetaries, was NY State Senator in Congress, was Secretary of State, negotiating with many foreign he...
