PACIFIC ODYSSEY, The Curious Journey of Lew 2.0, by Chet Nairene. This is the second in Chet Nairene's trilogy of adventure travel fiction novels.

This quirky mashup is something like Poltergeist meets Wall Street in remote tropical Asia. The mood and themes are similar to Chet's debut novel of 2021, PACIFIC DASH . . . both are about Westerners muddling about in Asia with amusing results.

The main character, Lew Clarke. is a thirty-something rock star of the New York business world, who hooks up with a mysterious supplier, a tiny company hidden away in a remote, little-known SE Asian country. But once a number of Lew's customers start experiencing serious and horrible accidents, which seem linked to the product he is importing, he is forced to travel to the hermit Kingdom of Amazia to unravel the mess.

Once there, he finds his modern Western knowledge all but useless . . . and things generally further unravel from there.

Lew makes great friends, falls in love, but after learning the dark secret haunting the Kingdom, his mission becomes more than just saving himself and his company.
