OFFICIAL POLL: Vote on our September - November 2023 NON-FICTION book!

Unread post

What NON-FICTION book should we read and discuss in September, October & November 2023?

Below are 5 non-fiction book choices for our September, October & November 2023 non-fiction book discussion. Two of the below choices were suggested recently, and the other three book choices were runner-ups in recent non-fiction book polls.

You can vote for up to 3 of the 5 non-fiction book options presented below.

Please select your top 3 non-fiction book choices. The more books you vote for, the easier it will be for us to find the most popular book for our next non-fiction book discussion. We'll be reading and discussing the book with the most total votes.

When will the discussion start? We'll create a dedicated forum for the winning book as soon as we have enough people interested in one of these books. More than likely we'll have a clear winner at the end of August 2023.

SIMPLE RULES:
  • We're not looking for book suggestions in this thread. We're only looking for actual votes.
  • Please don't vote if you don't currently have at least 5 posts on the BookTalk.org forums.
  • Change your vote(s) at any point.
  • Consider paying attention to this poll and engaging in any discussions people initiate on the 5 book choices. Watch for a clear winner to emerge.
  • Optional: Tell us why you voted the way you voted! This is always helpful.

Here are our 5 non-fiction choices...

BOOK 1: The Human Instinct: How We Evolved to Have Reason, Consciousness, and Free Will
By Kenneth R. Miller

BOOK 2: American Prometheus: The Inspiration for the Major Motion Picture OPPENHEIMER
By Kai Bird & Martin J. Sherwin

BOOK 3: Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow
By Yuval Noah Harari

BOOK 4:
Hitler's American Friends: The Third Reich's Supporters in the United States

By Bradley W. Hart

BOOK 5: The Climate Book: The Facts and the Solutions
By Greta Thunberg
