Why read books over watching t.v. or movies?!?!??!?!

Unread post

there's a simple answer for that, when watching t.v. or a movie, your imagination isn't being used, because your watching the imagination of the person who made the movie, your living through that person's version,..... we as in books, you have to rely on your own imagination, and imagine how the story would be in your eyes..... that's one reason i don't watch t.v. anymore, and only watch biographies or documentaries............... now is it just me or is there anyone else who feels the same as i do.................

Hope some people feel the same way................

Till Next Time
Peace

I watch TV. But not daily. I watch movies also. It actually gives you a chance to appreciate others imagination.

Me too prefer books over movies and TV, not because I hate those, but I love books more. :)

BTW, there is a quote by Groucho Marx on my book mark
"I find television very educational. Every time someone switches it on I go into another room and read a good book. "

I don't own a tv set any more. I had 500 channels of nothing and was paying more than $100 a month. That's a lot of books :)

Also, 1/3 of that bill was taxes, and I'm tired of paying taxes. They already get 1/3 of my paycheck.

Ban me now are you from Canada? LOL

I tend to fall asleep while watching TV or movies. If I tell you I have watched a certain movie or TV show I am lying. I've only seen the first half. zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Sales tax here in California is insane. 9.5% where I live. I hear it's 10% percent up in LA.
