Good fiction books you recommend?

Unread post

I have read these books so far and I was wondering what other interesting books you liked and recommend.
The Lord Of The Rings
Un Lun Dun
The Spook's Series
Tunnels
Shadow Forest
Harry Potter
A Song Of Fire And Ice
Twilight
The Hunger Games
The Name Of The Wind
I have read more but this is all I can remember for now. Oh, and one more question: do you know what Pern is? I know it is a magical world but I really don't kno how the book about this world is called. Thanks so much!

Pern is a world created by Anne McCaffrey (sp?). I won't go into all the details, but it is half science fiction, half fantasy. Some of the books (not always in order of writing) are:
The Dragonriders of Pern (first book in the series)
The White Dragon
Dragonsdawn

Look up the author, and you can find a complete list I am sure.

If you liked the Hunger Games, you might like "Pure." (first in a trilogy).

Personally, I prefer science fiction to fantasy, but did enjoy Lord of the Rings.
(Have you read "The Hobbit?")

Do you like other genre's besided fantasy? If so , I might have some recommendations.

Rainbow 6, by Tom Clancy... I borrowed it from my Dad's old bookshelf when I was like 14 and finished it within 24 hours of sitting in one spot :P

Thank you for answering my question. I like all kinds of books because I like reading in general. Fiction, non-fiction, adventure, comedy, drama etc. :) Any further suggestions are welcomed.

If you liked The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and The Hunger Games then I think you would like His Dark Materials, a trilogy of fantasy novels, coming together to form an epic, by Philip Pullman. The first in the series is Northern Lights, though I think it was called The Golden Compass in the US.

I would recommend my daughter's book if I could but it's a psychological thriller and that's probably not your cup of tea.

I highly recommend the Dragonriders of Pern series; each book takes the imaginary world to a new level of sophistication in the world-building that Anne McCaffrey accomplished. One of my all time favorites.
