Hi, I'm Ann from Massachusetts

Unread post

I can't recall how I found this site, but it looks like a lot of fun.
I'm a lifelong reader, and have worked in the publishing industry for over 20 years. My colleague and I have recently started a book-related blog and podcast called Books on the Nightstand. I hope you will check it out.

My favorite authors include Ian McEwan, Valerie Martin, Pat Conroy, and Geraldine Brooks. Right now I'm dying to read The Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz, but I have a bunch of work-related reading to finish first.

I am also running a new Reading Group that meets at our local YMCA, and I hope to get some good ideas from this site.

I look forward to meeting everyone.

Hello Ann, welcome to Booktalk!

I have read Pat Conroyd's The Prince of Tides, and it has had a lasting impact , it's really a book I would recommend.

In the fiction forum we are currently discussing No Country for Old Men, by Cormac McCarthy. I hope you will fee like joining us.

I look forward to discussions with you.
Ophelia.
