New doesn't begin to describe it. New Author & Bus. Mgr.

I like to read, but that is my only qualification here.

However, a buddy of mine wrote a book and somehow I am now his "business manager" so I now visit booktalk.

On the plus side, we have sold over 700 copies of his book so far. We have done numerous television and radio shows about the book, so we must be doing something right.

The name of the book is Bluegrass Is My Second Language and it is a fun read. Although bluegrass is the backdrop of the book, it is much more a book about unique people and unbelievable places. (That is all the commercial I will do here. lol)

I am curious if any other authors/managers are on here and what they are doing to promote their books.

Hi Whit.

You're welcome to plug the book in the Fiction Book Suggestions & Polls forum if you'd like.

Hi Whit,

I'm new too, and also promoting a new book.

Mine, The Art of Hanging, is a derivative in slang, and I put up an announcement of it yesterday in the Announcements & Feedback forum.

Welcome from one newbie to another...

I also play bluegrass, old-time and western swing music so I'm going to go look at your friend's book!
