The passing of fantasy author David Eddings
just want to lament the passing of David Eddings, one of my favorite fantasy authors. I believe that I have read all of the works by him and his wife Leigh. My favorite is the Ellenium Series with the Pandion Knight "Sparhawk" as the hero, grand adventure all the way through. As well were his other series like the Mallorean. I hope that he is now spinning tall tales in Valhalla Jacamo

Re: The passing of fantasy author David Eddings
I never read through his series...though I do have the Belgariad (is that right).John L Peterson wrote: just want to lament the passing of David Eddings, one of my favorite fantasy authors. Not many new authors in the genre I like...so it is sad to see any of the old guard go.

Eddings was a fantastic fantasy yarn spinner,he wrote several series of adventures consisting of five to seven books each. there was my favorite called the Ellenium, the Hero Sparhawk a Pandion Knight with a bad temper and a mean assed horse named Faran. There also was a series named the Belgariad, and one named the Mallorean.Several series supporting character books and several others co-authored with his wife. Now, having said all that! What I mean is, if you had all of his books in front of you,you could make yourself comfortable and wander off for days! In my opinion he was really good. Jacamo

David Eddings Passing
Leeann I like the Belgariad series also, especially Belgarath and Polgara, good fun and adventure. I think it was probably also fun to write.

He and his wife wrote very witty repartee, I was current on everything they wrote through the Dreamers series. I apparently live in a cave and missed this news bit, and I am saddened by it.

Re: The passing of fantasy author David Eddings
I didn't know he had passed away, I have read some of his books and Polgara is one of my favorite female leads in fantasy. I love the way he and Leigh wrote together as a pair.
