Mrs. Dalloway Virginia Woolf
Mrs. Dalloway Virginia Woolf
I'm new here so I don't really know how this works but was wondering if anyone would want to discuss Virginia Wolff? Mrs. Dalloway might be a good place to start or her diaries.

Re: Mrs. Dalloway Virginia Wolff
I would love to. It has been a couple of years since I read it but I really liked it. I really like stream-of-consciousness writing. What did you think of it?

I studied it for my degree many years ago but remember loving it and also To the lighthouse. Are you studying it ? and if not, what prompted you to start reading Virginia Woolf?

Re: Mrs. Dalloway Virginia Wolff
Hello Dawn:
We discussed reading "Orlando", and a thread has been created for that book, however, there seems to be an interest here, for "Mrs. Dalloway". Should we start here, and then proceed to "Orlando"?
I must apolozige, I was not aware that you had started this thread, otherwise, I would not have started the other.

Re: Mrs. Dalloway Virginia Woolf
Greetings folks. I am a male here, thinking that Mrs Woolf probably attracts a largely female audience. Do you think that perception is accurate? Nevertheless, I have been slowly working my way through Woolf's novels (if that is the right word) - aren't free books great!!! I have just finished The Waves, so Mrs Dalloway was a few reads back. I may also get the various books a little mixed up in my head. Perhaps Mrs Dalloway is the last of her books to fit (more or less) into the conventional framework of a novel - after that it starts to become more complicated. Oh, and I might just mention that it was partly due to the movie The Hours that I decided to see what Virginia was all about.
