Re: how often do you guys read a book?
I'm always reading something. Right now I'm reading two things. I've got a basket full of library books, so those get first priority. Lately I've given up on books that don't grab me in the first 50 or so pages. Life's too short to read bad books, so about half of what I start get thrown aside.

Ok, now I just finished such a great fun adventure, Shopping for Buddhas by Jeff Greenwald. One of those you don't want to end and now, how I have recovered from my dry spell. So much for that to do list!

Re: how often do you guys read a book?
I am a compulsive reader. I never leave home without a book to read.
I was sent to see a psychologist. He said he'd be a few minutes and left me sitting alone in the waiting room. I realized later the point was to see how I reacted to frustration but I didn't get frustrated. I pulled out my book, propped my feet up, and started reading. Instantly, the psychologist was in the room demanding to know who told me to bring a book.
I read every day. I tend to read in 20 minutes sessions. I read, then stop, ponder, chat with someone, look around, whatever, and then read again. I rarely read for an hour without a break.
I've never been able to read in bed so when I get in bed I go to sleep.

Re: how often do you guys read a book?
At 76 I have been a life long reader. There has never been a period in my life when I have not read. Now I read a lot on the internet. Am not able to sleep without reading in bed. Am eclectic in my reading. One discouraging thing though is that while I have read since I was 6 or so, I am still a bad speller!

Always and all the time. Often two books at a time.
I tend to buy in bulk and then have a pile on my night stand. After reading the thread "Your Five Favourite Books" here on Booktalk, I shopped and bought 10 books. Love books.

I am always reading, I always have to have a book on the go. I was not always like that, as a child I adored reading and into my teens and then I studied literature and stopped reading for around two years after that.

Every single day before I go to bed. A book instead a sleeping pill or evening scotch ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

I read constantly and even have a couple books going at once.... That is if I have enough time. Between schoolwork and music, I don't have time.... Well ok, that's not entirely true, but I do no feel like reading after a whole day of reading. I'm so excited that it's summer! Move over computer,TV, and mainstream pop music, it is time for some real entertainment(books and a relaxing time with classical music, ah.)!
