Johhny Got His Gun- Dalton Trumbo

The horror of war. It had a great effect on me and I am very pacifistic about conflict now.

The Yellow Birds, Kevin Powers. A novel of war and freindship , set in Iraq where Powers served himself. Very well written. I am about half way through it right now. Highly recommend.

Why should any day be bad? Isn't it a matter of attitude? Isn't it whether or not you choose to see the glass half full or half empty? So if the level is on the half way line and you are not sure, fill it a little and think of somethng pleasant.
