The realistic answer is, it depends. Mostly, it depends on your goal. I run a literary consulting company which is more affordable than major editors because it's geared toward self-publishing authors or people who are looking to get their manuscripts up to snuff in order to submit it to a major pub...

Another great way is to reach out to bloggers that read a similar genre and ask them to review you book (you would provide a copy).

I get my books from all over! I try to support local, independent stores but I also have a Kindle. Usually I end up renting library books on my Kindle and buying at local stores, though.

I used to be a one at a timer, but lately I've been reading two at a time. I have been trying one fiction and one non-fiction book of essays so that I don't weave the stories together and it's working out pretty well.

Thank you! Colorado is beautiful and I LOVE it. And Theomaniac, the great thing about politics is that it is always changing and relies so heavily on the people (that's the idea, at least, despite recent years....)!

100 Great Non-Fiction Books

I stumbled across a list of 100 Great Non-Fiction Books and wanted to share. I've read several of them (Nothing to Envy and Devil in the White City) and have a few others on my 'to be read' list.
