Re: Billion + believe in Satan. Should all schools be mandated to teach Creationism?

Comparative Religion should be taught to insure that no child is lost to creationist intellectual dissonance. We must expose our children to Comparative Religion as soon as they can understand Evolution which would be taught alongside of it. i have also thought this for years now, how i wish i'd do...

Re: Billion + believe in Satan. Should all schools be mandated to teach Creationism?

The Bible, for whatever you can say about it good or bad, is not a science textbook. Creationism can be taught in religion or histpry classes as part of a general study of what people believe, without any partiality one way or the other, but for the love of God keep it out of the science classroom....

Re: Have you investigated Gnostic Christianity?

The way I used to read the bible is with the O.T representing the evil side of the tree of knowledge and the N.T. as the good side of the tree of knowledge. The vile God compared to the good God. Dawkins specifies the O.T. as vile and I agree with him. Do you agree with his description of the God s...

Billion + believe in Satan. Should all schools be mandated to teach Creationism?

Billion + believe in Satan. Should all schools be mandated to teach Creationism? We must save our children from foolish belief in the supernatural. Education is the only tool that we have to drag ourselves and our children out of ignorance and superstition and that education should include that it i...

Re: Is God the epitome of both good and evil?

You're still sidestepping the issue. By virtue of God pre-ordaining people with certain tasks, and the fact that He knows before hand what will happen, shows that people are essentially following a script pre-written and encoded into their brains and souls. And yet you don't think that you are foll...

Re: Have you investigated Gnostic Christianity?

I see the bible as a consolidation of older myths and wisdom sayings and as you point out it does have good moral tenets. The Christian creed though, to me, has taken much of the wisdom and morality out of the bible. It forces people to embrace human sacrifice and the notion that it is somehow good...

Re: Have you investigated Gnostic Christianity?

From your astrotheological viewpoint how do you interpret this well known parable and what's it's hidden meaning as allegory? Thanks. Astrotheological? I've never heard of that word--what does it mean? To me it sounds like a strange combination of theology and astrology. The idea of astrotheology i...

Re: Have you investigated Gnostic Christianity?

[ in my case, having scratched my head for so long over the "scriptures" i found it was only as i began to see the symbolic meaning that anything made sense, so i was just relieved to finally penetrate the impenetrable as more and more of the symbols yielded to decoding i could finally sa...
