Re: Is internet porn ruining our next generation? Is censorship the answer?
People have addictions to a LOT of stuff but that is not the public's fault. No I didn't read half of the stuff cause I wanted my opinion first then go back and read points to see if things would change. Then I got busy at work and I haven't been able to read back. I will though. For dehumanizing wo...

Re: What movie has remained with you years after watching it?
I obviously have a very different taste in movies from all of y'all lol. I have watched only three of the movies y'all mentioned and only liked one, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (which was very good and very thought provoking)

Re: Online Comments - a "wicked" problem
The screen is an amazing thing. It really does let one hide behind it while throwing rocks. I use it to be able to speak at all. Off line I can barely get a word out because of social anxiety but when it comes to the written word my mind explodes and I can't stop talking. I love being able to actual...

Re: What superpower would you most like to have?
I picked the one I'd want most out of the options but that is not what I would pick over everything. I want to be able to time travel. I don't even care to go into the future I want to go into the past. Hell I don't even have to physically go into the past. Just being able to see it like a video in ...

Re: Is internet porn ruining our next generation? Is censorship the answer?
I know this post is old (I always find interest in the older posts lol) but I'm jumping in, and yes I'm long winded I apologize. To me if a person is willing to do something (ie being a hooker, shooting porn, and doing drugs) who is the government to tell them no? As long as they aren't hurting othe...

Re: The G'Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Night and Day Thread
I must say the good morning dust bunnies made me giggle. You have caught my attention. (Actually I prolly would have responded sooner but I have been on vacation lol) But it's good evening now is that okay per first post decree? :-D I'm sitting at work looking at the clock waiting another 17 minutes...

Re: Is Thanksgiving a religious or cultural holiday?
I wouldn't classify Thanksgiving as a religious holiday at all. My soon to be in laws pray over dinner on Thanksgiving but that is the only sign I've seen that has to do with religion. It is a time to be thankful in general and be with family.

Re: "What Book Changed Your Mind?"
Also a Ray Bradbury book The Butterfly Effect. It made me realize that any given decision can change the world. Everything I do makes other things fall into place and that had a profound effect on me. It made me start thinking about the consequences of my actions in high school which is a big deal f...
