Re: Useful scientific resources to silence fools

Hi ant if you are there. I stopped writing for a while so we can debate if you want to. I didn't intend any camouflaged or implied meaning. I tried to put myself in the mindset of someone in a primitive time and imagine what they might feel. The result I came up with was that they would want to beli...

Re: Useful scientific resources to silence fools

This isn't an argument I want to get into in depth. I'm not a scientist and I'm not an expert on religion. I'm tempted to ask you to evidence somethingness after someone stops existing but that appears to me to be similar to kids in the playground saying "is too" . . . "is not." ...

Re: Useful scientific resources to silence fools

I don't find fault with people of ancient times who constructed a religion to fit the facts they had at hand. In a way, they were using a scientific method. They took their observations of the world and worked backwards to what seemed the most likely explanation for their existence and the universe ...

Re: Introducing myself

Hey, I've read about a fellow called "Galloping Dick Ferguson." It sounds obscene, but he was a highwayman in Australia. I think they caught him and hanged him. The reason I took up running was I was six feet tall, but only weighed 150 pounds at my heaviest. A lineman who was 6'4" and...

Re: Introducing myself

G'day, or maybe I ought to say buenos dias. I've never been called Dick although a few friends have called me Rich. When I played football in high school, the coach told us to put our names on the back of our jerseys. The others all followed directions and put their last names. My mother wrote mine ...

Let me try this again - introduction

<t>I think I just proved I'm a newbie by posting in someone else's thread. I'll remove it there if I can and put it here.<br/> <br/> Hi, I don't have a problem making up characters, describing them, giving them idiosyncrasies, and whole histories, but I get tongue-tied (finger-tied?) when I have to ...

New books - Thrillers and Horror Short Stories.

Hi, I'm new here. My latest book got an outstanding rating from Kirkus Reviews. They sent me an email saying they were honoring it by featuring it in their magazine. It's BLUE'S POINT, a thriller set in a racist environment in a fictional East Texas town. I've read where people say it's suspicious w...
