Re: Ch. 2 (II): The Birds and the Bees of Boom and Crash

nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/literature/ ... cture.html I like this essay. Very poetic. So are you saying that politics and economy always involve some sort of violence or deceit? From my view the phenomenon that is labeled as “politics” is a phenomenon that exists in the psychological realm of huma...

Re: What was your college major?

Comparative Religious Studies. I would not change a thing. I loved it. I changed my major quite a few times before I actually chose it though. Now I work in social services. Now I am looking into studying social work. Learning is the best. :D

Re: Ch. 6 (VI): The Infrastructure of Fantasy

I really like this sentence: Evolution favors those who turn garbage and catastrophe into uplift and opportunity. So does the Western system. Follow the threads of your disgust. So I finally am getting a chance to respond to these comments. I feel there is a contradiction within SeeSpotRun’s comments that humans are unique bu...

Re: Book swap

My sister uses it. I have not used it yet just because I like to keep a lot of books. I am collecting some books that I am willing to trade though. I intend on using eventually.

Re: Atheism has always been a hot topic on BookTalk.org

An atheist doesn't like God, or is against Him.
From what I have been learning from atheists on booktalk, an atheist does not like or dislike a God. Ultimately they see no evidence for God's existence so there is really nothing to be for or against.

Re: POLL: Help us pick our Feb. & Mar. 2010 NON-FICTION book

Wow, all of these look great! I think we should read them all. But if I have to choose I put my 3 votes to The Passion of the Western Mind as well. :)
