Re: A Proposition For My Absent Good Omens Readers

:( I bought the book. I am still working through other books on the booktalk lists. :P I am a little obsessed about reading all of them but the ones I am really not interested in. Plus, I have a library full of books I am working on. Need more time in the day!

Re: Ch. 4 - The Cost of Social Norms

I found it hard to relate to the dividing line in market norms and social norms that Ariely referred. This could be because I am from a very small city and I have a business here. To me, social norms affect all areas of life, inlcuding our economic one. Our customers here might be our friends, our ...

Re: The Epic of Gilgamesh

Who are you SeeSpotRun? I'd like a small autobiography. Well, I live in the Pacific NW. I moved around a lot when I was growing up because my father is a minister. I am an avid reader. Some of my favorite subjects are religion, philosophy, and feminism, and I also enjoy literature a lot. I live wit...

Re: Sorry Ladies

Throughout this discussion you have been degrading to women as a general group and then apologize for it. Sort of like a Jon Stewart, "no disrespect." I agree with oblivion that you are trying to be provocative. I am not going to bother with a list of women writers because you have already...

Re: Poisonwood Bible

Recently, I read Barbara Kinsolvers non-fiction book, now I can't recall the title, maybe Animal, Vegetable, Mineral? Yeah, that is the name of it. My sister really liked that book and I have it on my list of things to read. I just love Barbara Kingsolver's fiction definitely. It is so amazing what...

Re: Help looking for book!

You mean, you cannot think of a title? Or you are interested in a book that focuses on a battle between heaven and hell?
