I'm really terrible. I can't throw books away. Even after I read them, they sit aimlessly on the shelf, doing nothing, going nowhere LOL. I cannot bring myself to throw them away, although I rarely read a book more than once.

I try not to read anything too sad and depressing but when someone mentioned Cormac McCarthy I remembered 'The Road'. Although the father is with his son, it is about two people facing up to a new, frightening world alone. It's a fantastic book with a heartbreaking ending.
