Re: What are some of your favourite Science Fiction books?
Try these. Hogan was visionary and I dare you to read the first two books and see all the SciFi book and movie spin-offs that were created from it. James P Hogan, The series originally was a trilogy, but was expanded to five later on. 1. Inherit The Stars, May 1977, ISBN 0345301072 2. The Gentle Gia...

WOW! To be demeaned by King...
I only wish to achieve such statehood. To have someone as accomplished as Mr King even take notice of one such lowly novelist as myself would be truly a dream... Ok, all sarcasm aside, I think it may be a Master & Commander thing. It is my way or no way at all. When someone is soiling your gener...

Official, blatant self-promotion - tell me about your book
Ok, in this economically challenging time, it's tough to sell a book. Of course, that didn't stop me. I published four last year. Now I just need an audience and some faithful book buyers. I will use the space to promote my own books and hopefully other authors will do the same. You can find my book...

Nicely stated, Poettess
I think movies try too hard and with the advent of CGI the audiance becomes jaded. I tried to make my novel live in the mind. We will see if it strikes a cord.

ZOMBIES
I have read a few zombie books and I think my son has read every book and watched every movie ever made. As a metaphor? Perhaps all of us worker bees endlessly plodding along on the same-ol dull life-sapping routine until we inevitably snap. I use plodding because they remind me of people waiting fo...

Just love it when no one replies.
Hello out there... Any one? A stark landscape undulating to a far horizon empty of all humanity except for myself. Welcome to the world of the first time author, awaiting an audience while shamelessly (and perhaps futilely) self-promoting.

A Cry From The Heart.
I will check it out. I do have a question. On the books I sell on Amazon, or Lulu, or B&N, I make from 2 to 78 cents. Yet if I sell them on my own (My own company, printed for me and stocked) I get substantially more for each book, even though they are the same actual price in all places. Do you...

A Cry From The Heart.
Lawrence,
I tried to find the essay on Amazon. Not much luck. Send me a link or the pic to [email protected] and I would be glad to take a look. As for a professional opinion... Well, I am not sure four books qualifies me, but we take what we can get. Good luck.

Sword Song by Bernard Cornwell
As an author I read for three reasons. Pleasure, pure escape and Ideas. Sword Song is the fourth in Cornwell's historical fiction series on the Saxons and the period of formation when the Saxons were trying to expel the Danes and Norsemen. You may know Cornwell by his Richard Sharpe series. I highly...
