Re: The Favored Child
I love Philippa Gregory. Great body of work! But yeah, that book isn't doing so well. I like Historical Fiction but not so much Historical Romances (from The Guardian: http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2002/apr/19/books.booksnews) - a few exceptions like AK and other Great Works natch but I couldn't take...

Re: What music are you currently listening to?
Michael Bolton singing opera. Seriously. On YouTube. :-) I too was shocked. (I wish I knew how to key-strike a Surprised emoticon and a several dozen others on these "Quick Reply" posts.) Maybe we could post a full list of them somewhere on the Home Page or somewhere really handly expressl...

Who exactly wrote all 3 "Good Books"?
I've always wanted to know this. Who wrote and how did they write the: a) Bible b) Qu ran/Koran c) Torah/Pentateuch/Tanakh From my observations in life I've seen people take the written word quite literally and if that's what works for them, fine. I respect that. But I wonder if anybody else besides...

Several GREAT sports books for sports fan
:offtopic: I scanned the forums and didn't see a SPORTS thread so I guess I'll put the post here and hope that it is OK to do so. {{crossing fingers}} It's difficult, nearly impossible to live in New England and not love sports. I am not a fanatic but I do scan the headlines in the Sports se...

Re: Games Arcade question
Try going to game sites and see how they sort them out. The really big ones like games.yahoo.com, games.msn.com, popcap.com, gamespot.com, addictinggames.com, pogo.com should really help you out a LOT. Some are more geared towards video while others are all inclusive which should be better if we hav...

Re: Games Arcade question
Thanks guys. Appreciate the replies and information very much.
I'll save a return trip back to the arcade for a day when I get bored with watching paint dry.
Back to my book now.

Re: Other Books About Autism - Great Book Suggestion for Mental Disorders
I have "She's Come Undone" in my mammoth TBR pile. The book got soooooooo many rave reviews all over the world. Yet, in the group I was in several years ago, they all ragged on the book incessantly. Go figure. Takes all kinds I guess. I am looking forward to it very much. Just went to Amaz...

Other Books About Autism - Great Book Suggestion for Mental Disorders
This book blew me away as it did millions of readers and half of you have probably already read it but it deserves mentioning for those who have yet to read it and are looking for a Super Fantabulous book that you cannot put down. Natch, it was an Oprah pick and now you guys know why I am so fond of...
