Re: Greetings from South Africa
Hello South Africa. It is nice to make your acquaintance. I know what you mean by technical books, I have a Kindle myself and is loving it. But, I'm a librarian, and the feel of the real deal feels so good in my hands. Especially history. We have a history room, that is just filled with all the &quo...

Re: What movie scared you when you were a kid?
Sorry to say but I would have to say Jumanji with Robin Williams. It was right at the start of Jumangi that scared me. Where the letters of the title swirled around and around in that dark green color.

Just finished with "Feelin Alright" by Joe Cocker and starting up with "New York State of Mind" by Billy Joel. Both amazing men.

Re: What music are you currently listening to?
I often listen to music while working online, and I know many of you do, too. So I wanna know: What songs are you listening to right now? You can list the song that's on at this instant and come back every time the song changes, or list the album/playlist you'll be listening to for a while. You can...

Re: Books on learning how to write better?
There are a few good guide books that I have tried, but I did like the book 'No Plot? No Problem! A low-stress, high-velocity guide to writing a novel in 30 days.' by Christ Baty and another one that people like is 'If you want to write' by Breanda Ueland. When I was a child, I really liked watching...

Re: Do you consider yourself an atheist?
"Spirituality is not religion. Religion divides people. Belief in something unites them." Is this from the 2004 version of Flight of the Phoenix or the 1965 original? Yes it is. A great movie. I was going to say "I don't believe in atheism" from Hawkeye from M*A*S*H, but didn't ...

Re: What Books Do You Dislike?
That's always interesting to hear - what people DON'T like. For instance, I, unlike many readers, do NOT like the book 'Catcher in the Rye'. Yet, it's an all time favourite with others. I also didn't like Lord of the Flies - the only reason I suffered through it was because it was a mandatory read ...

Re: Who is your writer's writer?
"Who is your writer's writer?" indeed. When you step back and think about it, the answer doesn't come straight at you. You have to think: "Who could possibily be the one (or many) author(s)/writer(s) do I really think about?" Then you go through hundreds (maybe 10) people that yo...
