That's quite true when you think about it. What was considered masculine a hundred years ago may not be thought so today.

The time period would be a big influence on how well someone depicts a believable character.

Edmond Dante's, aka The Count of Monte Cristo, definitely comes to mind. He's such a complex character. I find it fascinating that he's both an enigma and open book. Alexander Dumas writes characters that appeal to me and make me want to invent some of my own. Reading The Big Book of Shakespeare made me want to write for the first time. There's also Tolkien.

Technically only one of the cats belongs to me, the other two are my sisters cats. But They're all so adorable.
