Re: EMP and Solar Flares in the News-Right out of THE GREAT COLLAPSE
You should read The Great Collapse, it follows your reasoning surprisingly closely! The main difference is that in the novel, he EMP effect is global, instead of localized to a single country. I suggest that with such a rapid collapse of civilization, with everyone so busy just trying to survive, an...

Re: EMP and Solar Flares in the News-Right out of THE GREAT COLLAPSE
Its scary! Just imagine what would happen if the entire power grid in the United States suddenly failed. In my novel, the entire world is impacted when an EMP and solar flare get trapped in the earth's magnetic field. You might want to check out the videos, I had never seen them until recently. Have...

EMP and Solar Flares in the News-Right out of THE GREAT COLLAPSE
I came across some interesting videos in regards to the dangers of EMP and Solar Flares to our power grid and electronics in general. Parts of it sound like they came right out of my novel, THE GREAT COLLAPSE. You can find the videos on the blog page of my website at www.hortonlibrary.com, or at my ...

Book Signings have begun for THE GREAT COLLAPSE!
My first book signing for THE GREAT COLLAPSE was held in Portsmouth, Ohio over the Labor Day weekend. It was a great success, with a solid turnout! Book signings are currently scheduled throughout September and October, beginning in North Carolina, and I am adding more every week. I am looking at a ...

Re: The Great Collapse-Survivors of the Pulse is Now Available
Thanks Robert. It is a frightening truth that we have become so dependent on technology, and that an event like an EMP attack could indeed wreck havoc on our infrastructure. My book presents a worse-case scenario, of course, but based on the actual findings by the EMP Commission, the danger of wides...

Re: Is gravity an illusion?
I saw a program on the Discovery Channel, or was it National Geographic, where it sounded like they were saying that it is the displacement of space created by a large celestial body, like the earth, that creates a "dent" in space, resulting on space "pushing" objects towards the...

Re: Hello!
Theo,
I read some of Starfish on Amazon.com. It looks very interesting, I found myself on board the ship in the first chapter, exploring the deep ocean floors, expecting a giant squid or something worse to attack at any moment. Watts seems to be an excellent storyteller!

Re: Hello!
Hi Theo. Thanks for the welcome and for the congrats! It's been a great experience, and a very rewarding one. I never knew a few years ago that I could write one much less three books, regardless of quality. The names of some of the characters in my novels come from people I know, others I pull out ...

Hello!
Hello Fellow Bookworms! My name is Jeff Horton. I'm a soon to be published author with one book finished and two other books almost ready. I seem to gravitate to science-fiction/adventure thrillers, along the lines of someone like Michael Crichton, though I plan to constantly plum new depths. I'm a ...
