Can't say I liked this one all that much. To be fair, I didn't read the book and probably wouldn't have liked the book. Seemed like a silly "affluent white woman's problem" story, which I have a hard time relating to.

Religion is definitely a big problem, and perhaps the biggest in modern times. However, I don't think that's solely it. There are biological differences, evolutionary desires/roles that I think affect it too. Unpoisoned with religion, I can't say there would be no oppression. But it's a step in the ...

I'm a guy. I don't think I've come across many books with female protagonists. However, State of Fear has a female sidekick that is fairly important/powerful (more than just the girlfriend character). One of my favorite books is To Kill a Mockingbird , and it has a female protagonist. I wouldn't say...
