This is one of my favorite books! I also "chose" to "go with" the situations in the book, and found them to be very engrossing, and "possible" (even though I saw some of the previously mentioned issues!) With a little imagination, it was easy for me to immerse myself in...

I've found that the revelation that Bill Ayers wrote the book, instead of Barack Obama, makes me feel like the whole book is merely an "invention"--a re-interpretation of history, notes, and memories, from a non-participant. Not worth more comment.

It's a thought provoking book. It made me realize how woefully unprepared we are for any type of cataclysmic event. It also was a good barometer for measuring what my response would be if I found myself in similar situations....The book was much better than the movie.
