Re: What are you reading right now...

Good Omens - because someone recommended it to me here on Booktalk.

Re: What was your college major?

BA in English and MA in Political Science.

Or does this question only apply to Americans?

The American educational system is different from the Danish.

Re: What is the best movie adaptation of a book you've ever seen? What is the worst.

I Hate Dune, both book and film, but love David Lynch ... Loved the book To Kill A Mocking Bird, so now I will have to see the film, and I blame this thread :-) The best film version of a book must be Kubrick's The Shining, the Stephen King book is awful though. Re: how often do you guys read a book?

Always and all the time. Often two books at a time.

I tend to buy in bulk and then have a pile on my night stand. After reading the thread "Your Five Favourite Books" here on Booktalk, I shopped and bought 10 books. Love books.

Strange discussion, why not talk about the real issues?

The media's coverage of golf-playing Presidents is just another way of NOT talking about politics. Hurrah for the American media!

Re: Avid reader from Denmark joins BookTalk!

I'd love to learn more about life in Denmark so hopefully you stick around. Some of my clients are from Denmark, Sweden and Norway, and I've heard the standard of living there is quite high. Also, statistics say Scandinavian countries are quite secular. Is this your experience? Welcome to the commu...

Re: Avid reader from Denmark joins BookTalk!

Try reading Midnight's Children - in some ways it is even better than The Satanic Verses.

Re: Good sci-fi novels.

Don't read Dune, I've tried several times and lost the battle each time.
