Good points, I must say. I certainly think Gatsby is a good book.

The Great Gatsby. Is it really a great ...

I've been thinking a lot about The Great Gatsby and some other classics lately. I've asked myself these questions: Do I care about the characters in Gatsby ? Are the characters complex? Is there a deep philosophy as a theme of the book? My answer to these questions is no. Maybe I'm just getting jade...

Yes, I like the site. It's different than booktalk; so I think the two sites go together.

Sample of Fly Fishing Novel (ebook) Available

It's not just about fly fishing. To me it about loss and hope, about finding a way to make peace with things we can't understand. You can sample or view a good chunk of it here. Just scroll down the page:

Anyway, I think ebooks are here to stay.

And of ebooks in general? Just trying to get an idea. I don't like reading on a computer, but don't mind on my phone. Also, I don't like lugging around heavy books.

If I had the money I'd probably buy a Kindle.

ebooks/smashbooks

www.smashbooks.org is a good way to publish and distribute our
ebooks. It's free.

I was also able to revise my book.

IMHO, I just don't think Hemmingway had an original world view, an original take on things. To me, a lot of today's fiction has the same problem: It's a lot of writing about very little. Sorry if that sounds negative, but it's one of the reason I now read very little fiction. Am I jaded or just reas...

Update to my previous post: I finally got around to rereading "The Brothers." I was surprised. This time around - many years after reading it the first time - I had a completely different opinion of the book. I didn't like it. I felt the characters were all dysfunctional freaks - except Iv...

The Best of All Possible Worlds

This book looks intresting. It tackles the question: Why is there evil in God's world?
