Re: Worst Books You've Ever Read

The Corrections by Johnathan Franzen (which I did not finish) and A Painted House (which I did finish.) Great topic, btw! Now you've got me curious.... I had heard good things about The Corrections, though I haven't read it yet. Why did you find it to be so bad? To be honest, it's been awhile, beca...

Re: Beth from Tampa

oh, lol...the first review I read about that book you recommended said the character has autism, but when I downloaded it for my nook, the description clarified--Asperger's. If I had realized that, I wouldn't have explained Asperger's to you. I guess you already know about it since you read the book...

Hi Chris, Thanks for the welcome! I will definitely read that book--I actually just came across the description yesterday and thought it looked very interesting! Re: Help!!! I need a book!

You might consider The Lord of the Rings trilogy (but start with The Hobbit!) by JRR Tolkien. Also, the Left Behind series (by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins) is fascinating, and I'm not terribly religious.

Re: Running out of books to read, I enjoy realistic fiction

You might enjoy The World As We Knew It, by Susan Beth Pfeffer. I thought it was really good. She has a few other books out, two are sequels to this one. I've also heard (from my teenage boys) that Drums, Girls and Dangerous Pie by Jordan Sonnenblick is a good book.
