How did it compare?

Daisy -
Just curious if you thought it was a worthwhile read. I've read "A Million Little Pieces" and have "Leonard" on my "waiting to be read" shelf...

Did you enjoy this latest?

don't make me read...

Stephen King - I tried to read "It" when it came out and it just went on and on with too much detail about nothing. ick. Although I did read one of his latest, Cell, as a quick fluff read. Not my usual genre or storyline but fun for what it was. I've also gotten two copies of Liseys Story ...

Siddhartha

I actually read this a very long time ago but have been considering re-reading it after I finish my current read. I've recently started learning more about Buddism and this is a work often noted.

I've never read any of his other work but as a bibliophile, I'm always interested!

unbiased

As I'm finally getting into Kevin, it's making my heart beat fast and I'm only a few chapters (letters) in. As the mother to a 4 year old, it is somewhat like every nightmare thrust in my face - the what ifs, the things you can never know until the result is before you, the pleading with the Powers ...

Two cents on non-fiction selections

I'm so excited about the cerebral selections suggested now and in the past I can't come up with anything myself...I just want to get everything mentioned and stop time so I can sit and do nothing but read...and maybe enjoy some bread, wine and cheese. I ramble... Of those mentioned here, I have list...

Book suggestions

I would really enjoy a discussion about We Need To Talk About Kevin...so I'm behind that 100%. As for the classics or "literature class" type picks, I wouldn't rule them out but I do question whether in general, we're looking to break out of that and explore some new dynamics, having "...

count me in

I'd love to participate in a chat...9 pm works for me, although a couple hours earlier would be fine too. I'll be there as long as I'm not dragging into yet another family festivity! lol

LI Berry and other pet peeves...

Isn't it funny how the best pranks always seem to involve other peoples pet peeves?! I guess this is moving a bit away from li-berrys (which also drives me insane) but one of my pet peeves involves pens that are supposed to have caps, but to which the caps are missing or lost. I cannot use these pen...

library room

oh Constance! Pile books high in any room you wish and call it your library. There are few things more sacred than a "library" ....all those pages, characters, events, feelings! It doesn't have to be in the form of what we traditionally consider a library - that is just one person's idea o...

Evelyne- LOL, well, my shelves (custom built lovingly by my husband) started out beautifully organized, but as books have been read, added to the "read me next" collection ...it has become an assortment of vertically shelved, horizontally shelved and towering stacks of books. I love them n...
