Re: What are you currently reading?
I read it recently; here's to good luck!
Thanks, I'm actually starting to change my mind about this book, since yesterday. What once was an amusing sotry, could border on the ridiculous. I hope I can make it through to the end.

Re: What are you currently reading?

I started 'Don Quixote' by Cervantes yesterday. It's a book that has been sitting on my bookshelf for months now and I have never had the courage to start reading it, due to its size and the fact that it intimidates me slightly. However so far, I'm quite enjoying it.

Re: London 2012 - The Olympic Thread

karen, I don't know what I meant by genuine. I think it is 'fellow-feeling' between the competitors - much more evident in the paralympics than in the Olympics proper. The competitors seemed to be genuinely pleased for one another, and delighted with any shade of medal. I am perhaps mistaken. I hav...

Re: London 2012 - The Olympic Thread

Paralympics!! We don't get enough of 'genuine', do we? 'They' - What do I mean by 'They'? People who have been forced to look life in the face.....and just get on with it. What do you mean by 'genuine' exactly? As a person with Spina Bifida, I hope that the Paralympics helps to lower the barrier be...

Re: London 2012 - The Olympic Thread

Has anyone been watching the Paralympics over the last few weeks? I've been addicted to it! I love watching all of the events and have been introduced to some new sports throughout the coverage of this.

Re: What are you currently reading?

'Les Miserables' is a novel that I'm going to read next. It looks a challenging book, particularly the size of it!

I look forward to reading your thoughts on this when you have finished.

Re: Only one that keeps Journal/Diary entries?

I have kept an diary on and off since I was a teen (so a while now). I don't use it as an aid for my writing, but it does help me to release some of the stresses of the day. Also when I look back on past entries, it helps me to put into perspective an issue that has been worrying me.
