Re: Looking for feedback on my writing
Charles, First off, I'm a writer and have been in several critique groups and regularly critique in forums. When I prepare for a crit, I read the entire text. Which I did. Re: Pets or Pests!!!
I don't much care for cats, but my wife and daughter take in strays (currently we have six, three indoors and three barn cats.) What really annoys me is that my Jeep Wrangler, which I don't keep the top on in summer, smells like cat pee inside.

Re: Book Acquisitions
I loved A Canticle for Leibowitz when I read it many, many years ago. Maybe I should try to find a copy of it to read again.

Nice site and an interesting project. I'm also into history and have written a couple of historical fiction novels. I also like the way you try to interest younger folk in educating themselves other that what they've learned in school. I've been invited to a local museum's Civil War History Days and...

Re: Mystical Fiction
My novel, Wolfwraith (Damnation Books), has a native American, one-handed, park ranger, Shadow Fletcher, who comes up against a mystical creature from colonial times. I think you might enjoy it. The second in the series, Wendigo, will be coming out shortly.

11 - not bad for a 65 year old guy, and surprising because I'm not into art or visuals. So, take that you color-handicapped youngsters, you!

Re: Do you read self-published authors?
<t>I'm a self-published author, although I've also been published 4 times by small, independent publishers. I've been through the editing process four times, then, with an assigned editor. Other than typos and objections to some word choices, none of the editors had to suggest changes, so I think my...
