Re: Do you believe in a supernatural creator, God or gods of any sort?
I mainly work in forensic anthropology but I've read some great books on Oral Cultures. I can't remember the titles right now but I still have them stored at my office. Interbane if you're interested I can get the titles for you when I go back to work on Monday. Olivia: Lol. Sorry if my thoughts are...

Cattleman that's awesome! I love reading about things like that. I bet the little kitty will have a happy healthy life now thanks to you.

What made my day good, other than Cattleman's post, is that my new computer came today.

Re: Do you believe in a supernatural creator, God or gods of any sort?
Doulos: We live in an age which trades in doubt and questioning. I think questioning is good, but I think a lot of what passes as questioning today is just wild speculation. It often seeks to attack any certainty, which on one level is good because it keeps us intellectually humble. But lack of abs...

I have a little trouble with British humor. I don't get it a lot of the time. Lol. Maybe I'm just too American.

Thanks Penelope. I listened to a bit of it and it did make it easier for me to get into the story.
Giselle- I'm excited to join. This is the first book I've discussed on this forum. : ) I wanted to join in on Atlas Shrugged but I couldn't find a copy of the book anywhere.

Re: The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy; chapters 1-5
I finally started reading this. It's been sitting on my kitchen table untouched for 2 weeks. Lol. I'm having trouble getting into it. The characters are interesting but I find the story a little odd. Penelope I completely agree with you about Arthur Dent! He's great The parallel and simultaneous eve...

Re: A case against freedom of speech
OMG! I read about this. What a sick sick man! What's really upsetting is when you get on Amazon and read the reviews for this book there are some people who agree with this guy.

What Made Today Good
On another forum I'm on we have this thread and I thought it would be nice to bring it over here. The idea is post something that made your day good. It doesn't have to be something big. It could be a little everyday event. I believe if you look for the good in each day it will help keep you positiv...

Re: Pets or Pests!!!
Thank you Cattleman. I can't stand to see an abandoned or abused animal. I mean, if you feel the need to be cruel to an animal or have no intention of giving it the love, attention, and care that they deserve than why get a pet in the first place? I truly don't understand the cruelty of some people....

Re: Do you believe in a supernatural creator, God or gods of any sort?
Thank you Doulos: Please note that; a) the first and greatest commandment is not to love one another, but to love God. b) 1 John 5:3 expands upon the meaning of love by stating, "This is love for God: to obey his commands." c) This affirmation of the need for obedience to God is reflected...
