Re: Looking for a Publisher.

Hi, I suggest you have a look at feedaread (http://www.feedaread.com) which focuses on independent authors. You have to produce the input yourself (as a pdf) but you then only have to pay a price per copy rather than any set up costs. I'm currently using them for my daughter's novel - I haven't got ...

Re: Hi there from a village deep in the heart of England...

Amanda, I've got quite a lot of favourites. I'm currently reading 11.22.63 by Stephen King (by unabridged audiobook on the way to and from work) and it's got to be one of my favourites by him. I also really rate The Stand . There are lots I like by Dean Koontz - The Watchers was very good. I must ad...

Re: Do you like elephants?

Hi again Amanda, Yes, I live in England - in Bedfordshire about 40 miles north of London. The book I was referring to was the one my daughter's written and published (titled Blackened Cottage - there's a link to it in my signature) which mentions elephants. She's reading The Turn of the Screw by Hen...

BLACKENED COTTAGE thriller with twist - 14 reviews avg 4.6 stars

Re: Good fiction books you recommend?

If you liked The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and The Hunger Games then I think you would like His Dark Materials, a trilogy of fantasy novels, coming together to form an epic, by Philip Pullman. The first in the series is Northern Lights, though I think it was called The Golden Compass in the US...

Hi there from a village deep in the heart of England...

Hello everyone, I'm an avid reader using paper, ebooks (via the kindle app on my phone) and unabridged audiobooks (via my iPod). I love a variety of styles of books but suspense thrillers are probably my favourite - Dean Koontz and Stephen King in particular. I'm also a family man and have taken on ...

Re: Do you like elephants?

Hi - just about to post my introduction so hello fellow newbie. I was intrigued by your thread title because yesterday my daughter's book was critiqued by someone who said elephants hadn't been heard of in England when her book was set (late 19th Century). The first one was actually brough to London...
