Re: Anyone have any advice on how to successfully fund an Indiegogo campaign?
You're welcome! If I can think of anything esle I'll be sure to post them here. Just a side note, I paid for the advertising on facebook which did get me quick a few more 'likes' on my facbook project page but I had no way of knowing if that translated to actual bids on Kickstarter. Just another thi...

Re: Anyone have any advice on how to successfully fund an Indiegogo campaign?
Hi Audrey! I funded my children's book through Kickstarter last year. It was a lot of hard work but if you persist and treat it like a job I'm sure you'll get it done. Some tips: - Put A LOT of time and effort both getting the page ready and during the entire campaign. You really do need to treat it...

Re: Bookmarks as a promtion
Here is where I bought my first batch of bookmarks:
Overnight Prints Bookmarks
The bookmarks came out great and they have very reasonable prices but I just couldn't get their online editor to work like I wanted to. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Re: How to get into book stores
Hi again VicCast, I found local bookshops would usually take a local author's book on consignment. Harder to persuade shops outside your area though so I'll be watching this thread as well to see what other suggestions you receive. That is mostly what I have found online also. Might be my only choi...

Re: Books From Your Youth
I have always wanted to go back and read these books I read in my youth but have not, yet...
The Crystal Cave
The Hobbit
The Pearl
To Kill a Mockingbird
Encyclopedia Brown (any of these short stories. I feel like this is what got me into reading to begin with)

Re: The Gunslinger - Stephen King
I have read all seven books... Took me a while, but I made it. The opening of the first book is (to me) one of the greatest 'hook' lines in literature... "The man in black fled across the desert and the gunslinger followed..." Right?! How could you not want to find out who the man in blac...

The Gunslinger - Stephen King
I have always wanted to read the entire Dark Tower series and I have deemed this Summer as good as any to get started. So far I love it and cannot wait to start book 2!

Bookmarks as a promotion
I used Overnightprints.com to create some promotional bookmarks for my children's book Tommy the Courageous Bird . The bookmarks came out great and the price was amazing but the online editor at Overnight Prints was very limited in what it could do. Too basic to honest. So I was wondering if anyone ...
