VICTORIA ARTELL
My name is Victoria Artell, and, what can I say? I very much enjoy reading - just like the rest of you. I am interested in both History and Philosophy (admittedly, some branches more than others - but I shan't bore you all with my long and tedious explanations quite yet!), so I enjoy reading anythin...

Hello, Sharlay! I, too, would like to congratulate you on your book and wish you the best of luck with the marketing process. I am an aspiring writer myself, so it is good to meet somebody who is also interested in the fine art of wordplay! Do you attempt to follow the style of any authors in partic...

Re: What is the meaning of life?
I know my reply to this topic is belated, but I would still like to make a contribution. I think some of you are failing to realise that "meaning" is a human-devised concept. It refers to "purpose" or "significance". Naturally, life is not exclusively human, it is much ...

Re: What's your opinion on teen love stories?
Somebody once told me that there are no boring lives, only boring biographers. I suppose that, if we modify this slightly, it can serve the purpose of answering your question. To put it briefly, it is the same as with any other type of book - if it is well-written, even the simplest of plots can mak...

Hello, Matt! How delightful to meet you! My congratulations on finding time to read with that nomadic lifestyle of yours - I know many wouldn't have managed! Although 'Action' and 'Science-Fiction' are not particularly my areas of expertise, you might want to try "Erewhon" by Samuel Butler...

Re: Newbie, but hopefully not for long
Hello, Vic, I am new here too - and I love mysteries! May I recommend 'Dumb Witness' by Agatha Christie? (assuming you haven't read it already!) The plot is interesting enough, and overall, it is quite an entertaining book.
Greetings!
