NBC is running a poll right:

Should the motto "In God We Trust" be removed from U.S. currency?

Not for me to say as I'm not a USA-ian. But I don't trust in god and I'd not swear an oath using the word god.

Should "In God we trust" be taken out of The Pledge of Allegiance?
You probably mean, "One nation under God."

"In God We Trust" is on coins and currency.

LOL!!!! You are so right, Chris! What a funny mistake I made. My only excuse is that it was early this morning that I posted. Can you fix it?

And I thought it was a trick question! I voted yes. God should be taken off everything it was inserted on to over the years. The Pledge was changed to add it after all...so taking it off is just going back to the original.

I say remove it. It'll never fly though. Most Americans still can't accept evolution and they're sure as hell ain't gonna let 'God' be removed from the currency. This is a 'Christian nation' after all.

Instead

What would they say instead? How about "Fornit Some Fornus." It's an expression from a short sci fi story I read a long time ago. Fornits were tiny aliens who lived in a guy's typewriter and Fornus was a substance they shot all over that gave writers good luck. I can't remember who the author was.

I like that. Or even better, how about Don't Panic!

Yep.

I like Don't Panic better! That expression is cool and froody. What if it was only readable through peril sensitive shades?
