Ezekiel Code
Wow Gary, your book looks superb - Dan Brown takes on the Bible!
There is an interesting Ezekiel Code discussed by DH Lawrence in his book Apocalypse, and I think by Tom Harpur in The Pagan Christ. Ezekiel sets the frame of God against the four corners of the zodiac - Taurus, Aquarius, Leo and Scorpio, with an interesting naturalistic theology.
Are you talking about a real code or have you made it up?

Re: Ezekiel Code
Well, thank you. There's always the inevitable comparison to Dan Brown, especially The DaVinci Code because of the title. But the story is completely different and I started working on it about 9 years ago, before his book came out.Robert Tulip wrote:Wow Gary, your book looks superb - Dan Brown takes on the Bible!
I'm not familiar with this code discussed by Lawrence or Harpur. Interesting. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for tip.Robert Tulip wrote:There is an interesting Ezekiel Code discussed by DH Lawrence in his book Apocalypse, and I think by Tom Harpur in The Pagan Christ. No, the code in my book is entirely fiction.Robert Tulip wrote:Are you talking about a real code or have you made it up?

Well, I have paid up my US$5 for the e-book, but I won't be able to take it to the beach this summer as it is a non print version. (Sorry to all you northerners battening down for winter.
)
I have to say, I don't like gematria and numerology because their conclusions are too far-fetched and I simply cannot imagine any possible mechanism. If you play with numbers enough you can come up with anything. My own views get lumped in with those approaches, but what I am arguing is that the codes in the bible are actually quite simple.

Hey, thanks for picking up the ebook version. You wouldn't want to print it out anyway. It's 676 pages.Robert Tulip wrote:Well, I have paid up my US$5 for the e-book, but I won't be able to take it to the beach this summer as it is a non print version. I'm not a fan of numerology either. It seems about as reliable as the daily horoscopes in the newspaper. Gematria, on the other hand, seems to me to be quite different from what we think of as numerology.Robert Tulip wrote:I have to say, I don't like gematria and numerology because their conclusions are too far-fetched and I simply cannot imagine any possible mechanism. This could be an interesting discussion but I'm thinking before we go any further with it we should probably move it to another forum. Probably the Beliefs/religions/ or whatever its called.
