Leroy Aarons

Unread post

Can anyone recommend some good books (fictional or non-fiction) that have to do with homosexuality? Weird question I know, but I just read Prayers for Bobby by Leroy Aarons and it was incredibly moving, and I'm wondering if there are others of its caliber and subject matter that anyone would recommend?

Try Sarah Waters. She usually writes about the Victorian time period but it has lesbian subject matter. Affinity was a very very good book. Usually her genre is Victorian mystery.

Stranger at the Gate by Mel White is a great read... Not nearly as powerful and moving as Prayers for Bobby, but still pretty good.

I just saw a commercial for Prayers for Bobby, they made it into a lifetime movie! So psyched... it's on this weekend... Check out the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vAfBXW1e6U

After like 10 minutes in, I don't think I stopped crying... Did anyone else see this? Sigourney Weaver was awesome.
