Help out a college student! (5 minute survey about books)

Unread post

Hello!

My name is Keith and I'm a 19-year-old college student.

I have to do a marketing project on the bookstore industry and I need to get interviews from customers of Barnes & Noble and Borders.

If you shop at either of these two stores and can spend 5 minutes completing this survey for me, I'd really appreciate it!

1) What is your first name?
2) Do you visit Barnes & Noble or Borders more often?
3) Do you generally buy popular/bestselling books or more obscure titles?
4) What do you think of the store mentioned in (2)? What are their strengths? What do you hate?
5) How do you feel about the pricing at the store mentioned in (2)? Would you pay more for convenience?
6) How do you feel about the promotional messages (ads) of the store mentioned in (2)?
7) What do you think about the website of the store mentioned in (2)?

Thank you so much!!! :)

I check out their remiandered stopck, browse their fictions shelves, and by books in Spanish for kids I know at home.

Selection.
5) How do you feel about the pricing at the store mentioned in (2)? Would you pay more for convenience?
Fair

Don't know.

Also, I can't wait to get an ebook reader.

1.) Kait
2.) Barnes and Noble. I think there's a borders near here somewhere, but the B&N is only a 5 minute drive away haha.
3.)Both, I suppose. I only buy books if I REALLY like it.
4.)Barnes & Noble is really convenient, it's got a lot of selection, plus it's got a starbucks in it, good discounts with their card.. The one thing I hate is that a lot of it is games and toys now. A huge chunk of the store is board games.
5.) Sometimes it's a little more expensive but for the most part they can't help that.
6.) Pretty good, they have a lot of coupons.
7.) Lately their search engine hasn't been working (is it just me?) but other than that, the website's easy to use.

Ah, live like it's the style.

1.Omid
2.Barnes & Noble
3.more obscure
4.barnes & noble are friendly, when I asked about ordering a book, and asked if I did not like it would I have to buy it, they said "no problem" imediately. Borders said "well, we encourage you to buy it, but you don't have to" so it made me feel not as welcome. So I would go out of my way three cities away to barnes & nobles, because I felt welcome there.
5.I want to pay the suggested retail of the book, not more.
6.I normally don't pay attention to ads
7.my book appears in barnes & Noble online & XLibris is in talks with Borders to be able to have it available there also online.
