Hi from Thunder Bay

Unread post

Hello from the top of Lake Superior, the biggest body of fresh water in the world, surrounded by magnificent forests. I love living here, except for the looooong winters. I took early retirement from teaching in order to pursue my passion for writing full time. My first book comes out in March and I've had several stories and articles accepted. This has become a passion for me and I just can't relate to other retired people who say they are bored. I've met many new people, on line and face-to-face and, although the rejections can be disheartening, I am thrilled to be achieving moderate success. I barely have time for my other interests: gardening and lanscaping, refinishing and redecorating, needle arts especially stitchery (Jacobean is my current interest), trying new things on the computer, watercolour painting, running a small Sangha, photography, my family activities, and of course, reading.

Welcome, hope you find a place to plug in here. There are some pretty lively threads. What's your book about?

"For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world--to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice."--Jesus

Whoa-- a romance/thriller. Not a genre I've ever read!
