Chris I'm glad you're enjoying the thread.

Today I found a case of Dom Perignon Rose. It's the same type of champagne that Elizabeth Taylor drank. My friend and I are huge Taylor fans and have always wanted to try it. Needless to say I didn't buy the whole case, I'm not a millionaire. I bought a bottle for myself and one for my friend that I'm probably going to save for her birthday.

Olivia: A new computer and a bottle of Dom Perignon! It doesn't get much better than that. :)
P. S. A belated welcome to Cooper James.

Thanks Cattleman! He's doing very well. He's the cutest baby ever! (Okay so I might be a little biased.) :D
Lol. I've spent way to much money this week. The computer was necessary though. My old lap top had crashed and I was having to use a desktop, which I hate doing. The only problem with the Dom is that now that I have it I don't want to open it. Hahaha! I think I'll save for when I get married.

Today was our local Friends of the Library's 12th annual Book & Author luncheon. A very good crowd, two local (Texas) authors (we sold all the books they brought/had delivered), and everyone had a great time. :) We also raised a good bit of money for our library. :D Then I went by the courthouse and early voted in this year's election (Now I can ignore all the political BS for a while).

That sounds like fun Cattleman!

I picked my Halloween costumes. I'm going as Sookie from True Blood.

We just went to buy fireworks and gingerbread and treacle toffee for our Guy Fawkes Night celebration on Saturday. All the family are coming and I'll make soup and baked potatoes with chilli (or baked beans for the kids). We'll have a bonfire in a brazier, NO, not a brassiere, Interbane.

It's a very noisy affair, but the neighbours don't mind and keep their animals in since it only happens once a year.

Tomorrow is Halloween! It's my favorite holiday and I can't wait. I took the day off work. I'm going to help my mom with her haunted house. I answer the door dressed like a scary Victorian vampire and lead them through the house. She charges to get in and all the money goes to charity. This year we're going to donate the money to aid the victims of hurricane Sandy. Then I'm going to my friend's annual holiday party. Hope all of you have a spooktacular Halloween!

Penelope and Olivia, I hope you both have fun.

In our small town, we have a street of mostly old Victorian mansions. Everyone decorates their houses, the street is closed off and given over to the trick or treaters. Local merchants and others chip in on the candy. It is a safe place for the kids, and for adults (with no kids, or all grown) it is fun to just go and watch.

It's Hallow E'en, so today I will carve my pumpkin lantern and make pumpkin soup.

Put tea light into pumpkin and set it into the window bay after it goes dark.

I just got a Kindle Fire - (early Christmas present from OH) and I am so fascinated with it that I haven't time for anything else much and am neglecting all my good friends on here. I'll resurface soon I expect.

Happy Hallow E'en to you all.
